The Eisner Foundation Relaunches Small Grants Program

February 14, 2017

The Eisner Foundation is pleased to relaunch its small grants program, now called Opportunity Grants.

Opportunity Grants aim to help smaller organizations grow and achieve impact, and encourage larger organizations to be innovative in developing new ideas. For smaller organizations with annual budgets under $500,000, or larger organizations launching new intergenerational initiatives, The Eisner Foundation offers grants up to $25,000. Grants are available for one-year terms, and are renewable for small organizations. Larger organizations with successful initiatives may apply for additional grant funds after one year, but cannot renew an Opportunity Grant.

In 2015, The Eisner Foundation updated its mission to solely support intergenerational programming in Los Angeles County. After almost two years of this new approach, the Foundation is extending the opportunity for small and large organizations alike to explore ideas in intergenerational solutions. This is a continuation of The Eisner Foundation’s longstanding commitment to nurturing smaller organizations and new ideas. Since 2008, the Foundation has awarded 85 small grants totaling $1.6 million.

Opportunity Grant Letters of Inquiry are accepted year-round, and applications will be presented to the Board in June and December of each year. For more information, please visit
